Windpower Components for Mexico

March 2009 - It has been a busy start into the New Year – up to now already aprx. 60.000 FRT of

wind power components have been shipped for a wind power plant in Mexico.

In January 2 lots of tower sections of totally 30.000 FRT were shipped from Ciwandan, Indonesia

heading for Salina Cruz, Mexico. The cargo was loaded on to two 32.000 dwt bulk vessels which

which were ideally fitted for transportation of towers at sea.

                                                                                    
For the same project also one lot of blades was shipped each month from Santos, Brazil to the

Mexican coast. Totally aprx. 26.000 FRT were loaded as deck cargo on board of three self geared

multipurpose vessels.

For this job COLI was contracted via ATS, an American based Heavy Haul Company with a specialized 

department for Wind Energy Services. Thanks to this team up a full turnkey solution was scheduled for

the client which included the suitable and safe ocean transportation and the delivery of the blades and

towers upto job site. For the road transportation ATS made use of their privately owned specialized trailer
