MV "Norjan" has joined the ABB fleet.
The geared multipurpose tweendecker was delivered ex Korean shipyard in July 2007 with a deadweight of 10,600 ts, a length over all of 127.90 m and a beam of 19.00 m. She is equipped with 2 holds / hatches, no 1. sized 18.90 x 15.60 m, no. 2 sized 58.10 x 15.60 m. The grain / bale capacity is about 13,600 cbm (less t/d) or 676 teu. MV "Norjan" has 2 x 60 mtons cranes on starboard side, combinable to 120 mtons. The maximum draft is 8.70 m. With an average speed of abt 16 knots her consumption is 24 mtons ifo380.
She was ordered about 3 years ago by Jean Bernard Akavi, NORMED Antwerp and has recently joined the Service of ABB - Asia Breakbulk Limited, Singapore. The vessel was delivered in Jezuo on Sunday, 22nd July and has already loaded a cargo of steel from Changshu / Yang Tse River, while she is now on her way to complete in Japan, thereafter Shanghai for Red Sea and ports in the Mediterranean Sea.
ABB is a newly established carrier in Singapore, having this vessel and two of her sisters
• "NORMED BREMEN" - delivered November 2006 and
• "NORMED AMSTERDAM" - delivered March 2007
on long-term charter.
The vessels are trading on regular basis within a parcel service of ABB Asia Break Bulk Pte Ltd in co-operation with Normed Istanbul / Antwerp between Japan, Korea, China and Med, Black Sea ports and vice versa, but also in the trade from Marmara Sea to Continent and vice versa.
