40 years and beyond in the breakbulk- and project trade

On 1st July COLI Schiffahrt & Transport GmbH & Co. KG celebrated it's 40th anniversary.


Indeed, the world changed considerably since the early beginning in 1974 and projects & cargoes became more challenging, but COLI often anticipated at the right moment and provided 'solutions beyond the ordinary' meeting our customers' expectations.



We would like to thank all our good customers and friends in our young history. We are working hard to be there for you also in future.

The COLI Group is growing again!

We are delighted to announce that the COLI Group has expanded by opening a new office located in Seoul, South Korea.


CPC COLI PROJECT CARGO KOREA Ltd., starting operations beginning October 2013, will strengthen the excellent business relations to our Korean clients by serving them locally and on the spot.


CPC Korea is representing Singapore based ABB Asia Break Bulk Pte Ltd and Hamburg based CPC Coli Project Cargo GmbH. Both are providing regular project parcel services between Europe and Asia and vice versa including SE Asia, India, Persian Gulf, Black Sea, Turkey, Med Sea and Baltic.

COLI Schiffahrt & Transport GmbH & Co KG Hamburg contracted together with Deugro abt. 1.500 cbm project cargoes incl. 2 cold boxes with max unit length of 42m and a weight of abt. 190 mts.

COLI successfully arranged the transport of two Sunseeker motoryachts weighting 185 and 75 mts on deck of MV "Alina". Both yachts were placed directly back into the water at the port of discharge.

230.000 mts bare steel pipes for Ichthys LNG

The Itchys Field is located in the Brouwse Basin off the Western Australian coast and has resources of approximately
well over 12 trillion cubic feet of Gas and more than 520 million barrells of high value condensate.

The Itchys project is presently still under construction, but when finalized it will consist of two LNG Trains with a
capacity to produce over 8 million tonnes of LNG per annum amongst other products.
CBC has successfully contracted the ocean transport of abt. 230.000 mts bare steel pipes from Bremen (Germany) to
Kabil (Indonesia), where the pipes will be coated before they will reach their final detstination.

The total amount was shipped in 6 lots on Handymax/Supramax tonnage between July 2012 and March 2013.
The planning, perfomance and corresponding execution of this CoA was of outmost importance in order to meet relevant
delivery schedules from the pipe mill in Germany to the coating yard in Indonesia.



December 2012 / January 2013

Duqm / Mostaganem

Abt. 4,000 cbm of earth moving equipment were transported to Mostaganem which was contracted by COLI Schiffahrt & Transport GmbH  for Daewoo E+C.


End of January, the 2nd lot of abt. 7,000 cbm will be loaded in Duqm. 


November 2012


"Drum set on tour" 


COLI successfully shipped a total of 8 drums weighting 135 - 220 mtons and max unit length of abt. 29m from Spain to Singapore. This project cargo was loaded on MV "Alina" of CPC COLI Project Cargo GmbH Hamburg.




August/September 2012



"Heavies for Saudi Arabian Refinery Project"

COLI Schiffahrt & Transport GmbH & Co KG together with Kuehne + Nagel  in the U.K.  successfully shipped and delivered the heavy components with unit weight up to 600 mtons for the refinery extension on last in first out basis from Gijon, Antwerp + Shanghai to Yanbu.
These shipments required thoroughly planning and "solutions beyond the ordinary". COLI and Kuehne + Nagel performed to the full satisfaction of the customer and their services contributed to the overall success of the project.

"Green-Power components on Green-Power vessel"

COLI Schiffahrt & Transport Bremen GmbH/CBC Consolidated Bulk Carriers GmbH arranged together with Carisbrooke Shipping (Germany) GmbH a shipment of 30 wind mill blades with max unit length of 50.20 meters. This "green-power" cargo was shipped on a state of the art 2011 built multi-purpose low emission dry cargo vessel.

59,000 cbm for the "Papua New Guinea LNG Project"

COLI Schiffahrt & Transport GmbH & Co KG Hamburg contracted together with Deugro Japan abt. 59.000 cbm project cargoes with a maximum unit length of 32.2m for the PNG LNG (Papua New Guinea LNG Project [1]).

The cargoes have been shipped in 5 shipments between December 2011 and June 2012 by two of the worlds' leading Breakbulk and Heavy Lift Carrier, BBC Chartering & Logistic GmbH & Co.KG Leer and BigLift Shipping B.V. Amsterdam.

Punctuality and reliability are the key factors in shipping cargoes for this enormous project in order to meet tight delivery dates.

Challenging projects require “Solutions beyond the Ordinary”. COLI and Deugro took the responsibility and delivered in time.
